Before coming to AI and Data for Strategic Advantage, I thought I had a grasp on the concepts, because I have an ecommerce business and I was already living in what VG calls the "fusion strategy future." I was mistaken, and learned so much. I especially liked the case studies. Walking through what existing, familiar companies are doing to implement this strategy helped me to apply these same concepts to my company.

Owner, Pacific Office Solutions

AI and Data for Strategic Advantage was very useful in helping me think through the importance of data and data analytics through the use of AI, in the evolving business world of today. It also led stimulating conversations about businesses looking for “the next big thing;” how to identify an incubation business, how to set it up, and how to run it.

Program Curriculum

Rethink how value is created in a new digital world.

AI and Data for Strategic Advantage is a two-part program that asks participants to engage with cutting-edge concepts in AI, proprietary data strategy, and digital transformation. The program combines faculty-led sessions, real-world case studies, and applied assignments to help leaders develop a strategic, organization-wide lens on how to turn AI disruption into sustainable advantage.

  • Session One: September 15, 2026 - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST

Moats Are Melting: Rethinking Advantage in the Age of Intelligence
In this session, participants explore how traditional sources of competitive advantage—like scale, brand, and assets—are being disrupted by AI-native competitors and evolving customer workflows.

Distinctive Data and AI: The New Core Competence
This session dives into how proprietary, real-time data can become a company's most important asset and how leaders can design data strategies that fuel innovation and sustained advantage.

  • Session Two: September 22, 2026 - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST

Strategy at the Speed of Learning Machines
Drawing on examples from John Deere, Caterpillar, Rolls-Royce, Siemens, Nvidia, Tesla, and others, the session demonstrates how competitive advantage in the Age of Intelligence increasingly derives from economies of expertise rather than just scale or scope. Deere’s equipment learns with each acre, Caterpillar’s fleets learn across job sites, Rolls-Royce’s engines learn over decades of flight, and Tesla’s products and factories learn at the speed of data and algorithms.

Master Class: From Concepts to Applications
In this capstone-style session, participants apply the program’s frameworks to real challenges in their own organizations, drawing from case discussions, readings, and peer insights.
