Strengthening Leaders. Advancing the Movement.

Leaders across the Movement are constantly working to perform at their best.The Impact Academy is a leadership development experience designed to help them strengthen their performance, develop their talent, and advance the mission. Developed in close partnership between the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and the USOPC—and aligned to the Growing Our Game Skills Model—the Impact Academy equips participants with practical, immediately applicable capabilities to strengthen performance, grow their impact, and contribute to the success of the Movement.

The Academy offers opportunities for Team USA athletes and USOPC, NGB, and LA28 employees to build a shared language for leadership and development while expanding their professional networks across teams and organizations. Designed with and for the Movement, the experience is highly relevant, in-demand, and powered by the thought leadership of one of the world’s leading business schools.

The initiative includes one virtual program for Team USA athletes: Readiness for Board Service, and two virtual programs that are open to USOPC, NGBs, and LA28 employees with manager approval: Management Essentials and Own Your Impact.

Additionally, select USOPC, NGB, and LA28 employees will be invited to attend two on-campus programs at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in Hanover, NH: Leadership and Strategic Impact and the Tuck Advanced Management Program.

  • Management Essentials: May 19 – 21 and 26 – 28, 2026

    Are you ready to take the next step as a leader within the Movement?

    Management Essentials is an intensive program designed for USOPC, NGB, and LA28 professionals who are building the foundational capabilities required to lead effectively. Developed in alignment with the Growing Our Game Skills Model, the program focuses on the the foundational behaviors that drive performance—how individuals lead themselves, work with others, and contribute to team success.

    Through a highly interactive experience with Tuck faculty and peers, participants build practical skills in areas such as organizational behavior, strategic thinking and priority-setting, business case creation, budget management, and navigating difficult conversations. Along the way, they develop greater self-awareness and a clearer understanding of how their work connects to the broader mission.

    Outcomes
    Participants will build a deep understanding of how to effectively work with and manage others in the context of an organization and will improve their own leadership capabilities, in order to make a lasting impact on the Movement.

    Who Can Attend
    All USOPC, NGB, and LA28 employees who currently have or aspire to management responsibility (people and/or project management), have been with the organization for at least six months, have no current employee issues, and have manager approval to participate.

    Time Commitment and Format
    This program is a live, virtual experience with Tuck and Dartmouth faculty. Participants are expected to join from a place where they can engage fully, including use of video and audio on Zoom. In total, you will be asked to participate in 18 hours of classroom time and approximately four hours of preparation time.

  • Own Your Impact: June 9 – 11, 2026

    Are you ready to take greater ownership of your role within the Movement?

    Own Your Impact is designed to help USOPC, NGB, and LA28 professionals better understand what drives their performance—and how to translate that into meaningful contribution. Aligned with the Growing Our Game Skills Model, the program focuses on the core behaviors that enable individuals to grow their impact: building self-awareness, communicating with intention, and connecting their work to a broader purpose.

    Through interactive sessions and reflection, participants clarify what drives their performance, strengthen how they show up in their work, and learn how to leverage relationships across the ecosystem. The result is a clearer sense of direction—and a more intentional approach to contributing to their team and the Movement.

    Outcomes
    Participants will discover how they derive value from work, learn to use relationships as tools for advancement and growth, and create a plan for their career trajectory.

    Who Can Attend
    All USOPC, NGB, and LA28 employees who are interested in learning more about themselves by exploring their motivations, values, and goals; have been with the organization for at least six months; have no current employee issues; and have manager approval to participate.

    This program is a live, virtual experience with Tuck and Dartmouth faculty. Participants are expected to join from a place where they can engage fully, including use of video and audio on Zoom.

  • Readiness for Board Service: July 6 – 9, 2026

    Are you ready to contribute at the highest levels of the Movement?

    This four-day virtual program prepares Team USA athletes to serve effectively on nonprofit boards across the sports ecosystem. Aligned with the Growing Our Game Skills Model, the experience focuses on the core behaviors required for strong governance—thinking strategically, balancing stakeholder needs, and contributing with clarity and purpose.

    Participants gain a practical understanding of board roles and responsibilities while building the confidence to engage in complex discussions, ask the right questions, and influence decision-making. The result is leaders who are prepared to contribute thoughtfully and help shape the future direction of the organizations they serve. 

    Outcomes
    Participants will build a deep understanding of what a board does and how it functions, and gain the confidence and skills they need to fully participate as a board member. This will ultimately allow more qualified athletes to serve in board roles and increase their representation and impact on the Movement. 

    Who Can Attend
    All Team USA athletes who are interested in joining a non-profit board.

    Time Commitment and Format
    This program is a live, virtual experience with Tuck and Dartmouth faculty. Participants are expected to join from a place where they can engage fully, including use of video and audio on Zoom. In total, you will be asked to participate in 18 hours of classroom time and approximately two hours of preparation time.

  • Leadership and Strategic Impact: May 3 – 8, 2026

    Inspire Others. Transform Organizations. Deliver Results.

    This one-week, on-campus experience helps high-potential leaders strengthen the capabilities they need to lead with impact and drive performance across their organizations.

    Aligned with the Growing Our Game Skills Model, the program focuses on the core behaviors that matter most—thinking strategically, communicating with clarity, and aligning teams around shared goals. Through immersive learning with Tuck faculty and peers, participants build the confidence and perspective to inspire others, lead through complexity, and translate strategy into action.

  • The Tuck Advanced Management Program: September 28 – October 8, 2026

    Two Weeks to Leadership Transformation

    This two-week, on-campus experience is designed for senior leaders seeking to elevate their impact in an increasingly complex and fast-moving environment.

    Aligned with the Growing Our Game Skills Model, the program focuses on the capabilities required to lead at the enterprise level—shaping strategy, driving innovation, and leading change across complex organizations. Through immersive learning with Tuck faculty and a global cohort of peers, participants gain the perspective and tools to think more strategically, navigate ambiguity, and lead with clarity and purpose.
